What is a Precinct Committeeman?
A Precinct Committeeman (“PC”) has been called “The Most Powerful Office in the World” because the PC is the closest structured political officeholder to the registered voter. A registered voter has no vote in internal Party policy. A Precinct Committeeman does! A PC elects county, district and state party officers, and delegates to the Republican National Convention. PCs sent to the Republican National Convention vote on what policies the Party Platform will advocate over the next two years. Through monthly and/or quarterly meetings, PCs interact with their local elected party officials to influence legislation and vote on official party business (i.e. decide on the direction of the local party platform), elect local party leadership and delegates to the state and national party conventions.
Why become a Precinct Committeeman?
Do you want to work to support President Trump and advance his America First Agenda? Do you want to make Arizona Red again? Do you want to work to make our County more Red than Blue? Twitter-ing, Facebook-ing, Instagram-ing, Gettr-ing, Gab-ing and complaining won’t effect real change. Preaching to the ‘Conservative Choir’ on the Internet won’t get more conservatives to the polls, won’t make Arizona Red again, and won’t make our county a place that we can live without the constant pressures from Progressives, Socialists, Marxists and the Indoctrinated. To effect real change, you must become active. You are not really a ‘political activist’ unless you have actually gathered a signature for someone or something to achieve ballot status in the latest election. You are not actually ‘IN’ a political party unless you can vote for the Party Officers. If you want to effect real change, start by becoming a Republican Party Precinct Committeeman!
YOU will hold the most important position in the Party – Precinct Committeeman.
YOU will be the heart, soul and strength of this Party. Grassroots activism begins with you.
YOU will represent the Party to your neighbors and in turn you are the eyes and ears of the Coconino County Republican Party.
YOU will be the bridge between the Party, its candidates and the people of your precinct. This means your neighbors and elected officials come to rely on you for information, advice, and help in solving public problems.
How do I become a Precinct Committeeman?
First, are you a registered Republican? If not, you must be registered to vote as a member of the Republican Party if you want to be a Republican Precinct Committeeman. If you’re not registered to vote, Register to Vote as a Republican. Or, if your fed up and want a change, you can change your party affiliation to Republican online by clicking HERE.
Once you have registered as a Republican voter, contact your Coconino County Republican Chairman and ask to become a Precinct Committeeman. You can email him at chairman@coconinocountyrepublicans.com. Or, you can Fill Out This Form, and email it to the Coconino County Republican Committee Chairman. All the pertinent instructions are on the form.
